From far back on the court Kenny Sailors, Wyoming university's great star, rated by many the best college basketball player in the nation, has just sent up one of his long shots. Here, in the above picture, are players of the Phillips 66 and Wyoming teams, grouped under the post, waiting expectantly. The players are, left to right, Frieberger, Rothman, Komenich, Volker, Engleman and Roney. This shot by Sailors was one of the very, very few which the Wyoming scooter missed thru the first half of the game. As it came off the board, however, his teammate, Komenich, got possession, and a moment later tipped the ball in for two points.
